Lollapalooza

On Sunday I braved the rain and a very muddy Grant Park to go see Kings of Leon headline Lolla.  I loved the Sunday lineup and also got to see R.A.C, The Airborne Toxic Event, The 1975, Childish Gambino and even caught Flume dropping "Hold On".

Sometimes rain adds to the expereince.  I loved dancing to The Airborne Toxic Event in a field of mud.  They played "Sometime Around Midnight" as it was pouring rain and I danced until my legs were covered in mud.

I have to admit I shed a tear when I heard Kings of Leon play "Fans". Music is a powerful thing and the fact that I got to hear Caleb sing the words that are tattooed on my ribs made my heart extremely happy.

My girl Colby from Solo Salon in Chicago came over to braid my hair before Lolla.  I was so in love with how it turned out (and it kept my hair out of my face during the rain!) If you are in Chicago be sure to check out Solo Salon in the West Loop!

Already counting down the days until next Lolla!

  1. I love love love your braids in this post!! And Lolla seemed like a lot of fun--we've been to Bonnaroo a couple of times and enjoyed myself way too much ;) Stopping by from yesterday's linkup.
