And sometimes this happens.... lolz

Alright, this blanket coat is heaven. I usually dread winter since I hate the thought of cover up an outfit with a coat but this one from Sam Edleman completes my look.  Besides being warm it is so cozy.  I have already worn it a bunch since picking it up! It's perfect over a dress with over the knee boots.

What I Wore//

Jeans// F21

Finally the weather was tolerable enough to stand outside for some photos! This is such an easy outfit to recreate.  Just add distressed jeans, booties, a white tee and a statement fur jacket and you nailed it.  I love to mix an outfit up with different styles.  The baggy boyfriend jeans with an oversize tee paired with such a fabulous feathered jacket, that some may save for only night time, just works.

I am so excited also that my online store Whiskey | Water will be launching soon! Stay tuned!

Cheers to 2015

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a fabulous time ringing in 2015.  This year was especially fun for me and my girls.  We went to an insane event with Canvas Chicago and ERA Galleries at Chop Shop.  The theme was Voyager: 2015 and the place was filled to the brim with marvelous art installations, a rooftop heated igloo, and DJ sets by Esta & Tokimonsta. Without a doubt my favorite NYE so far!

This year I rocked all white with some camo booties.
We danced, we laughed, we drank, we celebrated.

What I Wore//
Skirt// Lulus
Top// American Apparel
Booties// Betsey Johnson
Tights// TopShop

Falling Whistle

I'm back!!! I finally found the time during the holidays to shoot a style post and I am especially excited to share this one.  Hung around my neck nestled under a furry jacket and layered with spikes is my Falling Whistle.  This whistle isn't an ordinary one, this is a whistle that is a campaign for peace in Congo.
Falling Whistles all started when Sean traveled to Congo to learn more about the war that was unfolding and child soldiers.  While there he was told the story that the boys who were too small to carry a gun were armed with only a whistle.
But that is just the beginning for Falling Whistles.
They are now launching their latest task, Project: Internet.
This campaign is designed to help entrepreneur Innocent Misabiro build a chain of internet cafes in Eastern Congo.  His first cafe has successfully been opened last spring and now it is time for number two! These internet cafes are a hub for learning, culture and entrepreneurship.

You can learn more and buy a whistle or donate at
