Home decor with MacKenzie-Childs
Friends! Do you remember a few months back I attended the virtual MacKenzie-Childs event!? It was so fun and they sent me some goodies I wanted to share with you. I love how versatile all of their pieces are. For example during our floral arranging lesson with used this utensil holder as the vase!
My favorite part of the event was creating our own pie plate! Due to covid and the event being virtual we painted our design on paper and then a MacKenzie-Child’s artist recreated it on a pie plate or us. I went all out and used every color (go big or go home right! I used this mural as my inspiration for the piece. It was such a fun experience to see it come to life.
We also had such an enjoyable cooking class. I’m not much of a cook but with pots and pans this pretty I’m loving cooking lately. A major bonus is how easily the pots and pans are used simply as decor. Since we rent our house we are pretty limited with making any changes to the kitchen which is why having such pretty decor and cookware helps brighten up our kitchen.
I also teamed up with MacKenzie-Childs to update my bar cart for the holidays. A bar cart is a fun way to switch up your home decor throughout the year. I started with the essentials, a cocktail shaker + set of bar cart tools. I added a few of our favorite liquors + a little Christmas tree. We keep our glasses in a cabinet so instead I prefer to add fun trinkets or in this case the apothecary jars in medium and large. Pro tip: I filled one with candy and one with Christmas ornaments. Ornaments are such an easy (and cheap) way to fill any jars you have. The bottom shelf I added the large canister and once again filled it with ornaments. I love how it turned out!
P.S if you’re looking for an easy and simple gift this holiday season I highly recommend the GLOW candles. They smell amazing and come in such festive packing all you need to add is a bow. The winter bouquet scent is my favorite.
